SINGAPORE: It has been a productive day for Team Singapore at the SEA Games in Myanmar.
Stephenie Chen and Suzanne Seah once again struck gold for Team Singapore at the Games on Friday.
It is one of three medals that the Republic's kayakers won on the final day of the canoeing competition.
Chen and Seah clinched the gold in the women's K2 200-metre finals, following up on Thursday’s thrilling win in the 500-metre event.
They finished ahead of opponents from Myanmar and Vietnam with a time of 40.864 seconds.
Kayaker Mervyn Toh took silver in the men's K1 200-metres with a time of 36.994 seconds.
Thailand won gold, while Vietnam earned bronze.
And finally, the women's team of Chen, Geraldine Lee, Annabelle Ng and Sarah Chen finished third in the women's K4 200-metres, earning a bronze.
Host nation Myanmar and Thailand finished ahead of them.
Friday's achievements take Team Singapore's haul from canoeing to two gold, two silver and two bronze.
Meanwhile, Singapore's shooters, Poh Lip Meng, Lim Swee Hon and Gai Bin bagged a silver in the men's 50-metre free pistol team event.
They scored 1,637 points to finish behind Vietnam and ahead of Malaysia.
